The "Truth For A New Generation" conference on apologetics and evangelism drew 4700 people, on March 18, 2003. Attendees came to NC from 24 states, and 4 foreign countries. The Sky Angel satellite TV network simul-cast the 10-hour seminar throughout North America.

This conference, simul-cast, and gathering of apologists was the last event Alex organized
before joining the staff Focus On The Family, just one week later.
On the campus of Wheaton College in Illinois, there is an extensive collection of C.S. Lewis items on display. Alex stands next to the wardrobe which belonged to C.S. Lewis. It is said that Lewis and his brother Warren played hide and seek in this wardrobe as children, and this was the likely inspiration for the famous "Chronicles of Narnia" series of books.
